Dancing angels

Grandma was watching three-year-old Erik while his parents were on vacation. Erik woke up one morning telling her his ears hurt. He had a fever and ached all over. Grandma called the doctor but couldn’t get an appointment until seven in the evening. Erik was crying and wanted Grandma to hold him.

Later in the morning Grandma put Erik on the rug with some toys, hoping they would take his mind off his pain. Then, she went into the bedroom to pray, asking God to send his angels to entertain Erik.

After a little while, Erik came running to Grandma, saying, “Grandma! Grandma! Come and see the angels.” He told her five angels were dancing and wearing green dresses.

No one had ever told Erik about angels. As people questioned him later, he never changed his story. He knew what he had seen.

When Erik got to the doctor, the doctor confirmed an ear infection, but all of the pain left with the dancing angels.
